“-”
Used for – “-” Function in MS Excel is used tell MS excel that
a excel has to subtract the cell value (if numbers / fraction) / numbers /
fraction and display the end result achieved.
Syntax – “-” is syntax in itself i.e. no
syntax is used for it.
Example – Suppose you have to subtract
the value of cell B3 to B7 and C3 to
I3 from cell A1 and want the result in A3 to A7 and C2 to I2, then you have
choice either subtract one by one or you just write =$A$1-B3 in cell A3
and then drag the same upto A7 and copy the formula and paste the same in the
C2 to I2. See example below:-
