DATE Function in MS Excel

“DATE”

Used for – “DATE” function in MS Excel is used make a set of numbers in different column or separately available with us in Microsoft Excel date-time code. In simple words we can say that date function returns the number in the form of date which is known by MS Excel.

Syntax – DATE(Year, Month, day).

Example – Following example will clear the date function:-

Note:- The end result will depend upon the date default format of MS Excel or which you have applied to the cell in which you are applying the formula i.e. if your MS excel has default format or you have set the format as DD/MM/YYYY then you will see the result as shown in example but if default format or applied format is MM/DD/YY then result will seems as 10/04/17 for first and 02/28/17 for the second example.
